Permits & Activities
SPS Fuzion has introduced a centralized permit and activity request system to help teams plan events, keep the appropriate association contacts informed, and assist schedulers in identifying conflicts with existing ice times and commitments.
Team managers and coaches should use the system when planning tournaments, exhibition games, additional practices, special events or fundraising activities.
Submitting a request confirms that it has been received. It does not mean the activity has been approved.
What activities does the system cover?
The request form includes options for:
- Tournaments
- Exhibition games
- Additional practices, within or outside association boundaries
- Special events and team activities, such as bowling, laser tag or other team outings
- Team fundraisers
Select the appropriate activity type and complete the relevant sections of the form.
How does it work?
1. Submit your request
Provide your team’s age group, tier, SP number, team HCR number, manager and head coach contact information, and the requested activity details. Include accurate dates, locations and any other information requested in the form.
Submit requests as early as possible to allow time for review and scheduling coordination.
2. Receive your confirmation
The system sends a confirmation email with a unique confirmation ID and a summary of your request. Keep this email and reference the confirmation ID in any follow-up correspondence.
Your request will initially be marked Pending.
3. Association review
The request is sent to the designated reviewers, and the appropriate age-group director is notified. Reviewers can approve the request or ask for additional information.
If more information is needed, the team contacts will receive an email explaining what must be provided. Follow the instructions in that email and include your confirmation ID when responding. The request remains unapproved while the additional information is being reviewed.
4. Receive your approval email
Once approved, the system sends an approval email to the relevant team and association contacts.
Where approval is required, teams must wait for this approval email before proceeding.
Special events and waivers
For approved special events, the system generates a pre-filled SPS Fuzion Activity Waiver and attaches it to the approval email.
The waiver includes the event name, date and location. Team organizers are responsible for ensuring the required participant information and signatures are completed before the activity, where applicable.
Waivers are issued with special-event approval, rather than with the initial submission confirmation.
Planning reminders
Submitting a request helps the association coordinate team activities, but does not automatically cancel, move or replace an existing ice time. Teams must coordinate any scheduling changes with the appropriate scheduler.
Teams remain responsible for following applicable association policies and any additional requirements identified during review. If your event details change after approval, contact the association before proceeding so the changes can be reviewed.
Please check your junk or spam folder if an expected confirmation or approval email does not arrive.
Ready to plan your next team activity? Complete the Permit & Activity Request Form and keep your confirmation ID for reference.
